CULLMAN, Ala. – Seniors at Cullman High School met with U.S. Congressman Robert Aderholt, R-Alabama, on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023.
Aderholt’s office issued the following statement:
“Mr. Lawayne Morton’s senior U.S. Government class at Cullman High School took a lot of interest in the three week process to choose a new House Speaker. He reached out to see if the Congressman could zoom into one of his classes to talk more about new (House) Speaker (Mike) Johnson and other topics. The Congressman’s schedule worked out to where he could speak to Morton’s 5th period class today.
“Beyond the new Speaker, students also asked questions about the current conflict between Israel and Hamas, growing antisemitism on college campuses, the crisis at the U.S. southern border and (Former) President Trump.”
