FLORENCE, Ala. – After dropping a hard-fought battle at Addison last week, the Meek Tigers were back on the road Friday night for another regional road matchup at Shoals Christian. However, the Tigers were in control from start to finish this week and got back in the win column with a 30-0 victory over the Flame.

A 50-yard touchdown pass from Evan McCay to Hayden Smith gave the Tigers an early, 6-0 lead and Cameron Deaver punched in the two-point conversion to make it 8-0. Later in the first, McCay connected with Smith again for a 25-yard touchdown pass and a pass to Jacob Smith gave Meek the two-point conversion and a 16-0 lead.

Jacob Smith hauled in the first interception of the night for the Tigers and Braxton Dickerson pulled down the second to set the offense up with good field position once again. Not long after that, a 1-yard scoring run by Deaver made it a 22-0 game. Meek got on the board one more time before the halftime break when McCay and Hayden Smith found each other through the air for their third touchdown of the first half and gave the Tigers a 30-0 advantage going into the locker room at halftime.

With the quarters shortened for the second half and the Tigers letting up for the final two periods, the Tigers were able to cruise to a 30-0 win over the Flame.

Meek improves to 4-3 win the win and the Tigers will return home next week for another region game against Vina.
