Patricia “Pat” Drake Smith age 80 of Fairview, AL passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was born January 19, 1945, to J.W. Jr. and Lena Drake. Former owners of Drake’s Skateland and Amusement Center and The Hutch Restaurant in Fairview. Pat was a retired Boilmaker with local 263 out of Memphis, TN. She has been a volunteer at the Chicken House Thrift Store for many years. She has spent the last 10 years raising and spoiling her great grandsons, Evan and Aiden Smith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Wendy Taylor, her grandson, Joshua Drake Smith and son-in-law, Tommy Smith.
She is survived by her husband Gary “Tank” Smith, brother, Mike Drake, daughter Pattie Smith (Jerry Livingston), son, Matt Martin (Tiffany), grandchildren, Jake Smith, Emma Martin, Riley Martin, Maverick Martin, Scarlett Taylor and William Taylor and 2 great grandsons who were the light of her life Evan and Aiden Smith, 5 beloved cats and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.
A casual Graveside Service will be Saturday. April 19, 2025, at Simcoe Baptist Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Bro. Jack Holbrook officiating and a visitation and light refreshments following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Pallbearers will be Evan Smith, Aiden Smith, Jake Smith, Matt Martin, Jerry Livingston, Brandon Erwin and Terry Smith.
In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Concord Church, Simcoe Baptist Church or The Chicken House Thrift Store.
