Johnny Owen Godsey, age 74, of Houston, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Cullman Regional Hospital in Cullman, Alabama.
Johnny was born on February 15, 1951 to Lanier and Betty Godsey in Cullman, Alabama. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Houston Memorial United Methodist Church Sanctuary in Houston, Alabama from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. where the service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Reverend Becky Scott and Brother Johnny Frazier will officiate.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Joanne Godsey; son, Bryan Godsey; daughters, Kristina Darby, and Missy (Ernie) Stephens; loving stepchildren, Cindy Sturgill, Suzanne Setliff, Dora Nelson, and Art Smith; mother, Betty Godsey; grandchildren; Baylee Darby, Bella Darby, Ellie Stephens, and Cooper Stephens; 13 step-grandchildren; brothers, Lanier Godsey, Jr., Clint Godsey, and Rex Godsey; and sister, Debbie Lester.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lanier Godsey; and stepdaughter, Lisa Smith.
