We are sorrow to say there are several out school on account of the measles.
Misses Jewel and Lola Baker spent Saturday night with Misses Mollie and Audry Norman.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Lee of Birmingham, were the dinner guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Stewart, Sunday.
Miss Gracy spent Sunday-afternoon with Misses Ruby and Venie Glasscock.
Walter Stewart called on Miss Lela Pearl Herndon Sunday.
Clifford Davis of Birmingham, was the guest of Miss Mollie Norman Sunday.
We are glad to say the community has nearly completed H. H. Baker’s new barn.
Lookout girls O. D. Norman is driving a good looking Chevrolet car.
Mrs. A. W. Stewart has returned home after visiting her sons in Gadsden.
Mrs. Annie McCutchen and children of Birmingham spent Saturday night with her mother in our burg.
Alex Ham is on the sick list at this time.
We are sorry to say E. F. Basenberg lost nearly all of his corn Friday night when his crib burned.
Mr. and Mrs. A. H., Nuss of Garden City, were visiting relatives in our burg Sunday.

Holly Pond, March 26.—We are proud to see our new school building started.
Sorry our merchants, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Shaw have had the flu.
Norris Estes and Buin House, Virgil and Jinnie Livesley are out of school with the measles.
Sorry to say our old friend, Uncle Ludie Crumbley continues very ill.
Miss Hester Crumbley had the misfortune of knocking her knee cap off Friday while playing base ball.
Denzer Shoemaker and Raymond Hawcock were the company of Misses Tessie Ellard and Rhea Dodson Sunday evening.
Alma Jones of Baileyton called on Miss Jewell Dodson Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Donie Burgess were seen passing through our burg Sunday afternoon.
Hulet King was the pleasant caller of Miss Louis Burks of Brooklyn Sunday afternoon.
We are glad to report the young people of this place have picked up energy enought to organize a Senior B. Y. P. U. We wish them God speed in their good works.
Mrs. B. O. Shuttles, who has been very ill is getting along nicely at this writing.
Our little place was visited by a hail storm last night. Hope no serious damage was done.
Some of young people attended the singing at Union Grove Sunday evening. They reported a good time.

Bridge Club
Mrs. P. G. Hartung was a delightful hostess Saturday afternoon when she entertained the members of her bridge club.
The house was attractively decorated in huge bowls and vases of spring flowers and greenery.
Three tables were arranged for the games and pretty prized were awarded to Misses Maybelle Thompson, Elsa Hartung and Mrs. E. C. Kinney.
A delicious two course luncheon was served late in the afternoon to the following: Mesdames L. Hays, H. Thompson, L. Griffin, A. B. Thompson, E. C. Kinney, H. Morrison, J. Buchmann, R. Williams, A. B. Fuller, Freda and Elsa Hartung, and Maybelle Thompson.

Cullman R. 2, March 26—Going to school is the order of the day.
Many of the people around Goldridge visited West Point on last Friday night and among were Henry Scott, Mr. and Will Golden, Venice Raines, Velma Harper, Wyle Lena Scott, Ruth Harper and Jack Golden.
Butis Patillo and Cille King were out dear hunting Sunday.
Allen Chance attend the singing at Simcoe Sunday.
The Goldridge boys played a game of basket ball with East Point boys last Friday evening.
The score was 18 to 24 in favor of East Point.
