CULLMAN, Ala. –  More than 1,000 shoppers turned out for the Small Business Easter Market on Saturday, March 22, at the Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center.

Small Business Market Founder Shayla Waldner said the first 60 shoppers in line received free gifts and overall, the market went really well.

“The kids loved the petting zoo, egg hunt and the Easter Bunny,” Waldner said. “The train ride stayed busy and the shaved ice truck was a hit for the kids as well. There were a total of 87 vendors that included the food trucks and kids’ activities together. Over 70 kids rode the train. We had over 1,000 to come through and shop.”

Waldner said her vendors were happy and pleased with the overall success of the day.

“The ones I did have a chance to talk to want to return for our Christmas market again at the end of the year,” she said. “Our Christmas market is always bigger. With each market we hope to keep growing as we already have so far. We are looking into different things with each market to make the next one a little better than the last one. Our first 60 shoppers always get excited to receive their gift bag and/or gift cards to vendors inside.”
