Luther Marlin Hyde, Sr., 76, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on March 26, 2025. Luther was born to Richard and Eula Mae Butler Hyde on October 13, 1948.
Mr. Hyde served our country honorably in the United States Army, including a tour in Vietnam. He was a truck driver by trade, but he was also a mechanic and enjoyed small engine repair as well.
Mr. Hyde is preceded in death by his parents; son, Luther Hyde, Jr.; daughter, Marla Hollis; and brother, Arty Hyde.
Those surviving Luther includes his wife, Sandra Hyde; son, James Hyde; brother, Ricky Hyde (Penny); sister-in-law, Dot Hyde; grandchildren, Caleb Hollis, Sarah Hollis, Piper Hyde, Destiny Lovell, Desmond Hyde; great-grandchildren, Bowdie Pew, Mazie Whatley, Lowan Whatley, Josie Williams, Jemma Williams, Mark Williams, and Theo Williams.
Described by his son as “the greatest man he has ever known,” Luther leaves behind a legacy of love and loyalty and his memory will be cherished for generations to come.
