Mrs. Deborah Gail Waldrep of Vinemont, Alabama, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the age of 77. A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Moss Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Matt Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service begins.
Deborah became deaf in her elementary years. Although she lost the ability to hear, her spirit remained unbroken, and her love for her family, others, and Jesus Christ only grew stronger through her adversities. She was a faithful member of East Side Baptist Church for 32 years and truly cherished her pastor and church family. Deborah enjoyed serving the deaf community in Cullman County and strongly desired for everyone to have a personal relationship with Jesus. She also loved volunteering at Vacation Bible School (VBS) and teaching children sign language. She was known as a prayer warrior. When Deborah committed to pray for someone, she followed through and encouraged her church family to intercede as well. Deborah was also a beloved Auburn Tigers fan!
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Campbell and Hazel Irene Rainey, husband Charles Waldrep, son Bruce Lee Waldrep, sisters Faye Mitchell and Janice Livingston, and brothers Rickey Campbell and Peyton Campbell.
Survivors include her sister, Teena (James) Davis, brother, Tim Campbell, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Missions Fund at East Side Baptist Church, 1111 3rd St. SE, Cullman, Alabama 35055.
