VINEMONT, Ala. – The Town of South Vinemont is set to host its third annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12, from 3-5 p.m. at the Vinemont Community Center. The event will feature separate hunts for age groups 0-3, 4-6 and 7 and older, with around 200-300 eggs hidden for each group. Additionally, the Vinemont Easter Egg Trail will be on full display with a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. Participants are required to bring their Easter baskets for the hunt.
Assistant Town Clerk Madison Stewart emphasized the community spirit behind the event. “What makes the Town of South Vinemont Easter Egg Hunt special is that everyone comes together to socialize and the kids always have a great time.”
In addition to the traditional egg hunts, the Easter Egg Trail will return this year, offering a unique way for residents, businesses, nonprofit organizations and school clubs to get involved. Participants can purchase large wooden egg cutouts to paint and decorate — whether to remember a loved one, advertise a business or showcase school spirit. These decorated eggs will be displayed along the Vinemont Walking Trail/Art Park throughout April.
Participants interested in decorating an egg must place their orders by Monday, March 24, at www.southvinemont.recdesk.com/Community/Program. Participants from last year are also encouraged to fill out the form to help ensure an accurate count. The opportunity to decorate an egg is open to anyone, not just local residents.
“We can’t wait to see your creativity shine as you decorate these large wooden eggs,” Stewart stated. “The decorated eggs will be displayed throughout the month of April and will be judged, with winners announced at the third annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 12 at the Vinemont Community Center.”
