Obituary: Maggie Vaughan Lawrence

Maggie Vaughan Lawrence, 39, peacefully passed away on March 19th, 2025. 
Born April 15th, 1985, to Crissy and Duke Vaughan of Phenix City, Alabama. 
 
Maggie lived a lifetime caring for others and served as a Pediatric Nurse Practioner at Children’s of Alabama. Maggie was a beloved wife and mother. 
 
Maggie was preceded in death by her mother, Crissy Warr Vaughan; father-in-law, Gene Lawrence; grandmother, Nancy Warr; grandfather, Dr. W.S. Warr. 
 
Survivors include: Husband, Kasey Lawrence; children, Griffin Henry Lawrence and Mae Kathleen Lawrence; father, Duke Vaughan; in-laws, Kristy and Kirk Teichmiller, and Stacy Lawrence; grandparents, Henry and Marie Vaughan; sisters, Abby Vaughan Schultz and Casey Vaughan Jones; sisters-in-law, Lacey Pate, Kendra Cummings, and Kailyn Lawrence; brothers-in-law, Jesse Cummings, Jordan Schultz, Kaisen Lawrence and Colton Pate; nieces, Davis Jones, Piper Jones, and Rosie Schultz; nephews, Turner Jones, Noah Cummings, and Weston Cummings, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. 
 
Serving as pallbearers are Jesse Cummings, Colton Pate, Jordan Schultz, Turner Jones, J.C. Daniel, Spud Warr, III, and Jameson Vaughan. 
 
Visitation Service will be held at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home (255 County Road 1435 Cullman AL, 35058) on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. CDT. Funeral Service at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2 p.m. CDT. Graveside service for family to follow. 
 
There will also be a Celebration of Life at Smiths Station Baptist Church (2460 CR-430, Smiths Station AL, 36877) on Saturday March 29, 2025. 
 
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. CDT / 2 p.m. EDT. Celebration of Life 2:30 p.m. CDT / 3:30 p.m. EDT, with additional visitation following the celebration. We welcome all to join us in celebrating the life of our beloved Maggie Vaughan Lawrence. 
 
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to Children’s of Alabama PICU and/or UAB Lung Cancer Research.
