A Freeze Warning is in effect for the northern half of the state from 1 a.m. through 8-9 a.m. Friday, with a Frost Advisory for much of the southern half. Low temperatures tonight will range from 28-32 degrees across the northern half and middle to upper 30s across the southern half.

An upper-level system will produce widespread showers and thunderstorms beginning Sunday evening in the northwestern sections and ending by Monday afternoon or early evening in the southeastern sections. The SPC has outlooked the northern half of the state in its long-range forecast.
At this time, instability is rather meager with the upcoming system. Still, a few severe storms are possible with the main threat being straight-line winds.
