Funeral service for Wazanta Posey Johnson, 68, of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Ole Time Way Baptist Church, with interment in Walker Cemetery, assistant Pastor Stephen Jenkins, Bro. Stanley Reeves and Pastor Richard Roberts will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. before the service. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:30-8 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Johnson was born on August 6,1957, to Wenzel and Barlice Posey. Wazanta was a member of Ole Time Way Baptist Church. She loved crafts, crocheting, and circle books. She loved her grandchildren especially.
She was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include her husband Dennis Lee Johnson; children, Heith (Melissa) Johnson, Denell Johnson, Tawanta (Stephen) Jenkins; grandchildren, Kaden Johnson, Levi Johnson, Makayla Johnson, Isaiah Jenkins, Lilyanna Jenkins and Brantlee Jenkins; brothers, Quinton (Janice) Posey, Warren (Shirley) Posey; beloved puppy, Mr. Whiskers; special friends (honorary children) Adam and Amanda Woods, Josh Mann; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kaden Johnson, Levi Johnson, Isaiah Jenkins, Adam Woods, Josh Mann, Matt Hill and honorary pallbearer Brantlee Jenkins.
