Sharon Hamm, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many was born on January 16, 1954, to J M and Marie Roberson-Phillips in Cullman, Alabama. She passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 6, 2025, at her residence in Greenville, Georgia.  Sharon’s warmth, kindness, and love touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a mother to everyone, always ready with open arms, a listening ear, and a heart full of love.

Sharon found joy in the simple pleasures of life—sipping on a warm cup of coffee, listening to her favorite gospel music, and spending time in the kitchen, where she poured her love into every meal she made. Cooking was her way of bringing people together, filling not just stomachs but hearts as well. More than anything, Sharon adored her grandbabies. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. No matter the time or situation, she was someone you could always call on—offering comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Sharon’s legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind- her husband, Jerry Hamm; children, Twana Roberson, Jeremy Waters, Sherry Carty, Gary Phillips and Bethany Pugh; 13 grandchildren; 4 brothers; 2 sisters, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by sons; Coot Waters and Noah Waters; her mother and father; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

Rest in peace, Sharon. Your love will forever guide us.

Hanceville Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hamm Family.
