CULLMAN, Ala. – A new restaurant – TACOMARG – is set to open in Cullman’s Warehouse District this month.
Owner/Operator Joel Sanchez said TACOMARG won’t just be serving tacos and margaritas; it will be a place of connection and celebration.
“We can’t wait to serve Cullman,” he said. “A look into TACOMARG: We’re all about helping you pause, enjoy great food and drinks and ‘Let Yourself Live.’ We offer an inviting atmosphere that feels welcoming, comfortable and alive with good energy. We take pride in great flavors, intentional hospitality and building connections. We’re incredibly excited to join the vibrant community of Cullman’s Historic And Warehouse District. This place holds special meaning for me and my fiancée, Jeta — growing up here, we want TACOMARG to reflect the spirit and heart of the city. We can’t wait to welcome you in March for our grand opening.”
The menu will include a signature Birria Quesadilla — slow-braised beef with melty Oaxaca cheese, served with savory consommé for dipping.
“We also have our Grilled Pescado Taco — which been a big hit in testing: fresh, simple and packed with flavor,” Sanchez said. “On the drink side, our Signature Margarita is an instant classic, and the Spicy Margarita has just enough kick to keep things fun.”
Sanchez said one unique feature at TACOMARG is the community shelf.
“The shelf is inspired by Día de los Muertos traditions, where guests can honor loved ones who’ve passed,” he said. “Every night at 7 p.m., we gather our guests for a community toast — a moment of reflection, gratitude and connection. Another thing that stands out is our passion for making special nights memorable. We plan on regularly hosting nights dedicated to honoring local loved ones who have left a meaningful legacy in our community.”
