Celebrating the Life of Robin Nixon Pruett
June 24, 1968 – February 21, 2025
Robin Nixon Pruett of Holly Pond, Alabama peacefully went to be with her Lord on Friday February 21st, 2025, at the age of 56.
Born on June 24, 1968, in Mobile, Alabama, Robin quickly became the light of her family’s life. As a little girl, she delighted in exploring and playing with her grandparents and family in Florida. In elementary and middle school in Bay Minette, she forged close friendships that brought a lifetime of joy and laughter.
Robin graduated from Auburn University where she met the love of her life, David, and their bond grew stronger with each passing year. After a brief time in Arkansas, the couple settled in Holly Pond where Robin formed new friendships and joined the community of a close-knit small town. Her love for children led to a 25-year career as an elementary school teacher, during which she touched the lives of hundreds of second graders.
A lifelong learner and creative spirit, Robin enriched her family and community through her passions and hobbies. She developed a deep love for gardening and flowers, eventually turning that passion into a vocation by founding Holly Pond Floral Company. Through her work, she filled dozens of weddings with beauty and heartfelt joy, always honoring her Creator through her own creative endeavors.
Robin was a thoughtful daughter to her mother, Paula, a steadfast sister to her sibling, Christy, a devoted wife to her husband, David, and a loving mother to her only son, Jackson. Above all, she cherished the role of “Grammy” to her two young granddaughters, Margot and Frances. Her legacy will live on through them and in every springtime flower that blooms.
She is preceded in death by her father Cliff Nixon. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, David Pruett; son Jackson Pruett (Taylor); granddaughters, Margot and Frances; mother, Paula Coffey (George); sister, Christy Nixon (Paul, Caleb, Luke, and Mason); godchildren, Emma Hankins and Maddie Hankins; and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on February 26, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Holly Pond Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m.
