Rev. Rayford Glenn Ponder, age 75, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Ray was a loving father and grandfather. He served as a minister of the Gospel faithfully for 50 Years, he worked as an electrician as well as serving as the building inspector for the city of Cullman. Ray served his country as a United States Marine in the Vietnam conflict. He is well known for his love of people and always had some candy to share with those he met.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Ponder; his son Brian Ponder (Devan); his daughter Angela Woodall (Derrick) his grandchildren Joshua Ponder, Erika Woodall and Katie Woodall; his sister Sheila Richards (David); and his brothers Gaylon Ponder & Roger Ponder (Ninet).
Ray was preceded in death by his parents Harless & Hazel Ponder.
A celebration of life visitation for Ray will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd AVE North West, Cullman, AL 35055, followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 6:30 p.m.
Rayford will be laid to rest in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, 5625 County Road 38, Cullman, AL 35057.
