
CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Feb. 13, held its annual Industry Appreciation event at Terri Pines.
The event recognized local businesses and industries that make up the backbone of Cullman County’s economy. Local officials, business leaders and individuals looking to network gathered to acknowledge the contributions of industries that support the county’s job market and economic development.
Cullman Chamber representatives stressed the importance of local businesses and their role in shaping the community’s success.
“We thank you for being the backbone of this community, for providing countless opportunities for our workforce, for innovation and for driving growth in the Cullman County region,” said Chamber President Joey Orr.
The gathering also highlighted the strong collaboration between local businesses, economic development teams and City and County officials in the growth and opportunity across the county. City and County representatives were commended for their seamless partnership, which was touted as playing a key role in attracting new businesses to Cullman, as well as supporting existing ones.
Many other individuals were also recognized for their contributions to the area, including Wallace State Community College President Dr. Vicki Karolewics; Alabama Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary, Workforce Development Division and Director of AIDT Ed Castile; and ADC Assistant Director of Business Development Robert Smith.
