VINEMONT, Ala. – The Vinemont Community Center will be the place to be for seniors on Monday, Feb. 17. That’s when the Town of Vinemont will host its free monthly senior citizen lunch.
Town of Vinemont Assistant Clerk Madison Stewart said she enjoys these monthly events because not all seniors are able to get out and socialize, so this makes it special.
“The seniors get together to socialize, play bingo and eat lunch,” she said. “The mayor and council put this event together…”
The monthly senior citizen lunches have been happening since January 2022, Stewart said.
“Some months are themed, but not all of them are,” she continued. “One of my favorite things would have to be that they get out to socialize with other people. Our senior citizens get together every third Monday of each month.”
The February luncheon will take place Monday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Vinemont Community Center, located at 88 Ridgeway St. All seniors are welcome.
