Funeral Service for Peggy Ambrose, age 77 of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Mac Buttram and Robert Lancaster officiating; burial at Valley Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Ambrose passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Crestwood Medical Center. She was born October 29, 1947, to Clarence Harrison and Marjorie Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Matthew Harrison Ambrose and William Thomas (Tammy) Ambrose, III; grandchild, William Thomas Ambrose, IV; brothers, Charles (Pat) Harrison and Jeff (Christina) Harrison.
Peggy graduated from Cullman High School, after that she attended Florence State University, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. From there she taught 5th grade English at Monrovia Elementary School for 32 years and while teaching at Monrovia achieved her master’s degree in elementary education at Alabama A & M. After retirement Peggy moved back to Cullman, AL and taught at Wallace State Community College.
