Kim Elaine Fowler was born on December 15, 1956, to George Fowler and Dorothy Fisher Fowler. She left this earth as Kim Fowler Smith, a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, on December 30, 2024, to begin her life in eternity with the Lord. Kim is proceeded in death by her mother and father, sister, Kathy Fowler Kresse, daughter, Anna Holcomb, brother-in law, Charles Smith, and brother-in-law, Gary Smith.
The surviving members of her family include her husband, Jerry Smith; daughter, Tommye (Rodney) Pruett; son, Chad Smith; granddaughters, Ryan (Ross) Lockhart, Alexa (Thomas) Davis, and Kaleigh (Jordan) Madison; grandsons, Michael Reinhardt, Jesse Smith, and Josh (Brandi) Pruett; great grandchildren, Sunnie Elaine, Samuel David, Cooper James, Jack, Ellie Jade, Tyson, and Rylan; sisters, Karen (Carlos) Baxley and Mary Fleming (Richard); brothers, George (Debbie) Fowler and Chris (Vandis) Fowler; sister-in law, Patsy Caroll and sister-in-law, Joyce McCartha.
Kim was warm, compassionate, vibrant, caring, and would go out of her way to help others. She was a proud and dignified woman who had a passion for life. She had a wonderful sense of humor which endeared her to everyone she encountered, and it is a great testament to her nature that she formed so many long-lasting friendships over the years.
An accomplished businesswoman who built up successful businesses with no more than a tenth-grade education. A self-made success. She loved the beach, white sands, four wheeling, sunshine, and sunflower fields. Momma had a way to bring the best out of life. She loved music and dancing, traveling, oh how she loved to travel and explore! She was a devoted wife and loved life to the fullest.
She will be missed by all, but her memory will live on in us all forever.
As a parent and friend, Kim had the extraordinary ability to make others feel strong and confident, giving a sense of independence and mental toughness, which has been an asset in many lives. Her presence brought immeasurable joy, love, and laughter, and for that, we are forever grateful. Thank you for loving hard, living free, dancing and embracing everyone with grace and mercy. A true inspiration to all.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her,” (Proverbs 31:25-28).
