CULLMAN, Ala. – Two men recently graduated from Cullman County Drug Court. District Judge Chad Floyd announced Tuesday, Jan. 7, that Richard Clanton and Troy Johnson both completed and graduated the program.
“I’m so proud that these two gentlemen got to be our first two graduates of the new year,” Floyd said. “During their time in the Drug Court program, both of these guys added incredible value to our group. Richard and Troy will both be missed from the program, but I know they’ll each continue to be successful.”
According to the Court, “Cullman County Drug Court with Judge Chad Floyd is about second chances. It’s about allowing individuals charged with drug-related offenses the opportunity to work toward and maintain sobriety, while investing in our community, Cullman, Alabama.”
Floyd said the program is designed to be 12 months in duration.
“While individuals are in this program, they are required to submit to random drug screens, participate in intensive outpatient treatment, attend self-help meetings (e.g., NA, AA) and complete 52 hours of community service,” he explained.
