Leland Sandlin, age 92, of Trussville, Alabama passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025. He was born in Bremen, AL, on May 5, 1932 to Blan & Pearl Sandlin. He passed away on January 3, 2025 with family by his side. His funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Leland served in the Army, and was also in the Korean War. He worked for over 40 years at Stockham Valve and Fitting before retiring. He married the love of his life, Barbara Parker Sandlin. They were married for 67 years. They were both former members of St. John’s United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Parker Sandlin; daughter, Belinda Sandlin Garner (Rodger); siblings, Marilyn S. Wiggins, and Bennie Sandlin; grandchildren, Craig Garner, Jason Garner (Faithe), and Heather Garner; Great Grandchildren, Henry Garner, William Garner, and Jake Garner. He was preceded in death by his father, Blan Sandlin; mother, Pearl Huffman Sandlin; and his sister, Ellen S. McDowell.
