Maureen was born on November 23, 1924 in Armagh, Northern Ireland on a Naval base to Charles and Elizabeth Slade. She was raised in Gloucester, England as the eldest of seven children. Maureen met Euel Quentin Rhodes while he was serving in the Army during World War II, and they were married on September 29, 1943. They had their first and only child, James Nell Rhodes(Jimmy) on June 15, 1944 in Gloucester England. Maureen held many jobs including farmer and homemaker, but would tell you that her favorite was being a childcare giver to some of her great nieces and nephew. Maureen will forever be missed, especially for her positive outlook on life and her beautiful smile that she shared with her family and friends for over 100 years.
