CULLMAN, Ala. – The United Way of Cullman County recently issued a community call to action. You can read it below:
Looking into the coming days, as the temperatures drop and winter weather sets in, we need your help! We’re creating warming stations to support those in need during extremely cold and icy conditions, but we cannot do it without YOU! We are looking for volunteers to help staff these stations overnight during times of extreme cold.
If you’re able to donate your time to help keep others safe, please consider joining our volunteer team. Together, we can make sure everyone has a warm place to stay when the temperatures drop too low.
How you can help:
- Volunteer for overnight shifts during extreme cold and ice conditions
- Locations will be shared soon, and we need YOU to be a part of this effort!
If you are interested in helping, please email tjohnson@uwaycc.org for more details or to sign up.
We cannot do this without you — let’s come together and make a difference for our community!
