Funeral Service for Hershel Allen Loyd, age 73 of Cullman, will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church with Father Patrick Egan, OSB officiating; burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery . Visitation will be from 6:15 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church.

Mr. Loyd passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at his residence. He was born, May 3, 1951 to Cordie Lester Loyd and Marie Hazel Loyd.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Loyd; parents; brother, Steve Loyd; sister-in-law, Sue Loyd; brother-in-law, Art Blaylock; and niece, Amy Loyd.
Survivors include wife, Katie Lanette Loyd; son, Justin (Katelyn) Loyd; grandchildren, Lexus White, Jagger (Kortnee) White, Zack Loyd and Merritt Loyd; brothers, Lester (Mary) Loyd, Carl (Libby) Loyd, Dennis (Janna) Loyd and David Loyd; sisters, Kay (Sidney) Yarbrough, Carolyn Blaylock and Judy (Ross) York; brothers-in-law, Randy (Tina) Murphree and Landon Murphree; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Scott) Smothers, Lisa (Joseph) Timbs and Lacey (Durand) Lemley; step-mother-in-law, Leasia Muphree and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
