Funeral services for Peggy Joyce Sansing, 85, of Blountsville, will be 1 p.m. Sunday, December 29th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville. Bro. Johnny Bennefield will officiate services. The family will welcome friends at Hanceville Funeral Home on Saturday December 28th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Sansing was born on September 21, 1939 in Warrior, Alabama to the late Early & Janet Lamont-Weldon. She passed away December 26, 2024 at her residence in Blountsville, Alabama.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Langley (Calvin), Michael Sansing, Timmy Sansing, Charles Sansing, David Sansing (Linda); grandchildren, Leigha Flanagan (Joseph), Bethany Byrne (Jimmy), Kristy Sansing, Justin Sansing, Steven Sansing, Chad Sansing (Whitney), Nick Fields (Maddie), Caitlin Sansing, Caleb Sansing; great grandchildren, Isaac Abbott (Peyton), Kyndall Abbott, Anna Byrne, Alivia Byrne, Evie Sansing, Carly Fields, Baylor Fields, Rowan Fields; great-great grandchildren, Karrigan Abbott; sister, Betty Campbell; and her brother, Paul Weldon.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sansing was preceded in death by her husband, James Sansing; sisters, Ruby Sansing, Evelyn Bahr; brothers, Robert Weldon, John Weldon, Billy Weldon, Sonny Weldon, & Jerry Weldon.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Flanagan, Beth Byrne, Chad Sansing, Nick Fields and Kristy Sansing. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Bennefield, Leigha Flanagan and Caleb Sansing.
