CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Public Library System will host a bingo-style Winter Reading Challenge Jan. 6-Feb. 28, 2025.

CCPLS Assistant Director Shelby Creekmore said this is the second year for the challenge.

“We had great participation last year,” she said. “We are always looking for new ways to encourage people to read. Participants will complete various challenges listed on the bingo card, such as ‘read a book with a one word title’ or ‘read a book written by a female author.’”

Submissions are due Feb. 28. Adults may turn in a completed bingo sheet in exchange for a raffle ticket and be entered to win a donated prize. Children may turn in a completed bingo sheet for a prize from the library’s treasure chest.

Creekmore said bingo cards may be picked up and dropped off at the circulation desk starting Monday, Jan. 6.

“Thank you to Monograms Plus, Werner’s (Trading Company) and Karma’s Coffee for donating prizes for this challenge,” she said.
