CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Parks and Recreation hosted its inaugural Run, Run Rudolph Fun Run Friday night to kick off the  21st Annual Winter Wonderland Christmas Light Display, which officially opens Saturday, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m.

CCPR Marketing Director Sara Morgan said 130 people were registered for the run.

“This was a great turnout for our first ever Run, Run Rudolph race,” Morgan said. “Our participants really enjoyed it! This is looking like a great event to continue for years to come. We hope to see more join us next year.”

Christmas sweater contest winners were Feribah Morgan and dog, Leon.

Race winners were Henry Crocker and Mason Gobble.

The Winter Wonderland Christmas Light Display will run through Dec. 29, from 5-9 p.m. at Sportsman Lake Park, 1544 Sportsman Lake Road NW. Admission is a cash donation of $10 cash per vehicle. In addition to over one million lights, there will be a Christmas train, horse and carriage rides, snow machine, photo booth, hot chocolate and even a few visits from Santa himself.

  • Drive-through only Dec. 26-29
