CULLMAN, Ala. – Welcome to Dinovember! With November marking the start of Dinosaur Month, the Cullman County Public Library System has announced an exciting and educational event for the whole family, a T-Rex Tea Party. The tea party will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16, starting at 10 a.m. This event will introduce kids to table manners with a special guest — a life-size T-Rex! Children will enjoy a dino-packed lesson on manners, accompanied by cookies and juice provided by the library.
In addition to the tea party, children can explore a variety of dinosaur-themed activities at stations set up around the library. These include digging for dinosaur bones, creating fossils, a dinosaur scavenger hunt, a dinosaur craft station and a Lego challenge. Parents are encouraged to join in and assist their children with the activities.
“This event is part of our initiative to provide free, fun programs for families to enjoy on the weekend,” said Shelby Creekmore, assistant director of the Cullman County Public Library System. “We want the library to be a place where everyone is welcome, and we are constantly searching for ways to meet the needs of our community. We hope that these weekend events are suitable for those who cannot attend regular weekly events.”
Creekmore added, “As always, we are grateful for the support of our community. Attendance at these events helps the library thrive!”
