CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the Christmas Open House Cookie Crawl for a second year on Saturday, Nov. 9, starting at 10 a.m. Sponsored by McSwain Pharmacy, this family friendly event encourages the community to shop locally while enjoying sweet treats from participating businesses throughout Cullman’s downtown area.
Participants can pick up a cookie box in the Chamber breezeway, beginning at 10, on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one box per family. A total of 250 boxes will be handed out, each containing a list of local Chamber member businesses where attendees can collect cookies throughout the day.
Organizers are also introducing the Gingerbread Scramble this year with hopes of driving participants to shop locally.
“At each participating Gingerbread Scramble store, there will be a gingerbread with a QR code. Once scanned, it will display the business’s discounts/specials for Christmas Open House, as well as a secret letter. You must find all the letters and unscramble the word! Once the word is unscrambled, submit the word to us at info@cullmanchamber.org or message us on social media and you will be entered into a fun giveaway,” shared Katie Walker, director of communication and events for the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce.
“We hope everyone can join us and our great local businesses to kick off the holidays. This family friendly event is the perfect way to support local businesses and satisfy your sweet tooth. Bring your friends and family for an afternoon of fun, shopping and plenty of cookies!” said Walker.
