Lalton R. Miller, 84, of Falkville, AL passed away on November 2, 2024. A memorial service will be held at the Cullman Funeral Home in Cullman, AL on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. The Reverend Aaron Dawson will be officiating. The Cullman Funeral Home is located at 461 U.S. Highway 278 East.
Lalton was born in Cullman, AL to Nolen and Inell Miller on December 19, 1939. He retired from Mcgriff Tire after 25 years. Lalton had a lifelong love for farming, growing sweet potatoes and other crops on his farm in Falkville. Lalton also enjoyed camping, attending bluegrass festivals, and spending time with his wife of 66 years, Betty Jean Miller.
Lalton is preceded in death by his parents, Nolen and Inell Miller, brother Wilbur Lee Miller, and sister Sandra Talley Crickmar. Lalton is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Miller of Falkville, AL; son Roger Miller of Cullman, AL; grandchildren, Adrian Bell of Midway, GA, Jared Miller (Lindsay Simmons) of Boise, ID, and Jake Miller of Los Angeles CA; Sister-in-law, Charlotte Miller of Vinemont, AL; nieces, Lynya Engel (Mike) of Birmingham, AL and Monica Turner (Rodney) of Cullman, AL; nephew, Lydon Miller of Vinemont, AL; and two great nephews, Nathan Engel of Birmingham, AL and Kyle Turner of Huntsville, AL. Lalton was an active member of Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church.
