CULLMAN, Ala. – Creatively painted pumpkins are on display in the main branch of the Cullman County Public Library following last week’s Pumpkin Painting Contest.
“Kids of all ages came by and painted a pumpkin, and we put them all into a contest,” said Cullman County Public Library System Assistant Director Shelby Creekmore, who said the library provided the pumpkins.
Lucia Scalero won the event, with her pumpkin painted to look like the cartoon character Stitch. She took home a Samsung Galaxy tablet as her prize.
Most of the other pumpkins are still on display in the library.
“I love our Cheshire Cat. It’s really cute,” said Creekmore. “They’ve been very well loved in the library. The kids this morning at storytime were really enjoying them.”
The library is located at 200 Clark St. NE.
