CULLMAN, Ala. – A multivehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, claimed the life of an Arley man.
Chadrick D. Kilpatrick, 51, was fatally injured when the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer he was driving struck a 2023 Mack tractor-trailer driven by Raymond B. Butts II, 44, of Vinemont.
According to Alabama State Troopers, after the initial impact, the Chevrolet struck a 2024 Ford Bronco driven by Roger D. Harris, 62, of Arab.
The tractor-trailer left the roadway, caught fire and became completely engulfed in flames. The Ford also left the roadway and overtured in a ditch.
Troopers said Kilpatrick was pronounced deceased at the scene. Harris was injured and transported to the Cullman Regional for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 91 near County Road 783, approximately 5 miles east of the Hanceville city limits, in Cullman County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
