Obituary: Judy Ann Walker

Judith “Judy” Ann Walker passed away October 15, 2024. 

For many years, Judy owned “Family Hair Designers” in Cullman. She then moved to Leland, Mississippi with her husband Junior where she became active in missionary service with the First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mississippi. She loved sharing her faith with people all over the world. Judy was also a tour guide for many years. She enjoyed tours with people as their personal guide. Judy and Junior enjoyed married life together for 61+ years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Vernice and Callie (Williamson) Hendrix, her sisters Betty (Hendrix) Blackwood and Robbie (Hendrix) Huffstutler. She is Survived by her husband Junior Walker, daughters Pennie (Scottie) Stevens, Paige (Bobby) Gilliland Texas, grandchildren Callie (Bill) Mcright, Conner Stevens, Lili (Quan) Howard, Graci Gilliland, Abri (Jon) Garcia, great-grandchildren Walker Leigh McRight and William Lake McRight. The family sincerely thanks the staff of Gentiva hospice for the wonderful and loving care they provided Judy in her final years. 

Pallbearers will be Conner Stevens, Bill McRight, Quan Howard, Akemini Ikpe(AK) and Jon Garcia. 

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association by calling the 24/7 helpline at 800.272.3900. Please inform them that the donation is in the memory of Judy Walker and restricted to the state of Alabama. 

Services for Judy will be held Saturday October 19, 2024 in the Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel 1901 2nd Ave NW Cullman, AL 35055. Family will receive friends for a visitation from 1 p.m. until the service time at 3 p.m., with interment to follow at Cullman City Cemetery 9th St SW, Cullman, AL 35055.
