GADSDEN, Ala. – After collecting a win at West End last week, Cold Springs was back on the road Friday night for a region matchup at Coosa Chrisitan. Unfortunately for Eagle fans, the Conquerors dominated from start to finish, sending Cold Springs home with a 49-8 loss.
Coosa Christian jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and was able to make it a 42-0 game by the halftime break. The Conquerors extended their lead to 49-0 midway through the fourth quarter. Cold Springs was able to get some points on the board in the fourth when Clayton Terry ran one into the end zone for a touchdown. Ethan Latorre hit Breydon Hallmon in the end zone to pick up the two-point conversion, but the Eagles couldn’t chip away any more than that, falling to Coosa Christian on the road 49-8.
Cold Springs moves to 4-4 with the loss and will return home next week for another region game against Southeastern.
