Obituary: Christopher “Chris/Choche” Wallace Bagwell

Funeral service for Christopher “Chris/Choche” Wallace Bagwell, age 52, of Cullman, is Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home chapel, with Mr. Bagwell lying in state from 12-2 p.m. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the chapel and interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery. Opening prayer, the obituary, and scripture reading will be by Jaylynn Milligan. Buddy Howard, Chris Hendrix, Tommy Britt, and Kevin Bagwell will be honoring Chris by saying a few words about him as well.  

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family. 

Chris was born January 5, 1972, to Wallace Bagwell and Alice Elaine Crane White. He went to his heavenly home on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice White and Wallace Bagwell; infant daughter, Faith Bagwell; sister, Connie Phillips; and niece, Jessica Bagwell. 

He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife of twenty-four years, Jennie Bagwell; sons, Jake Johnson-Bagwell, Luke Bagwell, and Jager Burns; daughter, Hope Bagwell; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Janet Bagwell; sister, Teresa (Herb) Mayo; mother and father-in-law, Sheila and Jerry Stewart; grandchildren, Ace Parker Bagwell, Ava Jo Bagwell, Able Lee Bagwell, Blakely Brooke Burns, Adelynn Tate Burns; a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. 

Pallbearers will be Jordan Pace, Anthony Pace, Preston Bagwell, Paydon Bagwell, Landon Bagwell, Corey Phillips, John Phillips, and Chase Cruze.  The honorary pallbearer will be Kevin Bagwell. 

Chris was a beloved husband, daddy, pops, brother, and friend.  Family said he is a legend and the best that was ever made.  He was kind, giving, respectful to all, and loved his family so much.  Everyone who knew Chris loved him and he had many who depended on him to be that stable friend who was always there and ready to jump in and help. He was a hard worker, working at Britt Demolition for over 20 years.  He is gone too soon but will always be remembered and cherished by those who love him for all days to come.
