A memorial gathering for Casey Lane Goodwin, 54, of Dixon Springs, Tennessee, will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Casey was a 1988 graduate of Hanceville High School.  He worked in construction for many years specializing in plumbing.  His work eventually led him to Tennessee where he was most recently employed by Cerris.  Casey was affectionately known by many as “The Caseman”.  He loved adventure and spent many hours kayaking, riding motorcycles, repelling, and even skydiving.  He was a college football fan and pulled for the Auburn Tigers.  He had a passion for music and played guitar in several different bands over the years.  He cared for animals and had many pets throughout his life, several being rescues.  However, his greatest loves were his two daughters, Savannah and Emma.  He was a devoted father and never failed to let them know just how much they meant to him.  Casey will be greatly missed.  If he were able to say one final goodbye, he would likely tell us all to “Keep on Rockin’ in the Free World”.

Mr. Goodwin is survived by his daughters, Savannah Ezell (Cameron), Emma Goodwin (Everett), mother, Dee Addison; father and step-mother, Miles and Judy Goodwin; brothers, Jeff Goodwin (Chris), Randy Goodwin (Susan); step siblings, Paul Sharp, Kim Owens (Keith); close friends, Tim Defore; lifelong best friend, Corey Weldon; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will and Irene Addison, and Miles and Dot Goodwin.
