CULLMAN, Ala. – A free electric vehicle (EV) showcase will take place at Northbrook Baptist Church in Cullman on Saturday, Sept. 14. A variety of EVs will be on display, and EV owners will be on-hand to talk one-on-one with anyone interested in learning more about EVs. The EV showcase will join other vendors outside the annual meeting of the Cullman Electric Cooperative.

The event, which runs from 9-11 a.m., is sponsored by Drive Electric Alabama and the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition (ACFC). ACFC President Michael Staley will display his all-electric 2024 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, along with a tail-gaiting set-up that will show ESPN’s “College GameDay.” Other electric trucks scheduled to be at the showcase include a Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian and Tesla Cybertruck.

“The best way to learn about EVs is to talk to people who are driving them every day,” Staley said, “because EV owners offer their personal experience about the cost savings and performance of these vehicles. The Silverado EV is by far the best vehicle I’ve ever had, and I hope the tail-gating set-up will be a huge hit.”
