CULLMAN, Ala. — Cullman High School’s volleyball team continued their winning streak in their second tri-match of the season, defeating both Austin and Good Hope to extend their run to four consecutive victories. In a thrilling contest against Austin, the Bearcats demonstrated resilience and tenacity, winning the match in three sets. Cullman secured the first set 25-21, showcasing their strong start and ability to capitalize on early opportunities. Austin responded in the second set with a narrow 26-24 win, pushing the match to a decisive third set. However, Cullman regrouped and prevailed in the final set, clinching the match with a 15-11 victory.
In the second match of the tri-match, Cullman faced the Good Hope Raiders and delivered a dominant performance, sweeping the match in straight sets. The Bearcats came out firing, overwhelming the Raiders in the first set with a commanding 25-10 win. Despite facing some resistance in the second set, Cullman maintained their composure and battled through adversity to secure a 25-20 victory, completing the sweep and showcasing their growth as a team.
Under the leadership of first-year head coach Amy Hudson, the Bearcats have shown significant improvement with each game.
