CULLMAN, Ala. – Timeless Homeschool Events (T.H.E.) Cullman has been providing opportunities for homeschool students in the area to meet and mingle with peers and friends with its monthly and seasonal gatherings and events. Launched in 2009 and spearheaded by Cullman native and Madison resident Jennifer Garcia, T.H.E. has been fulfilling a social need in the homeschooling arena for over a decade.

“I have been homeschooling for 22 years and the question I get most often is, ‘What about socialization?’ Homeschool does not mean alone school,” smiled Garcia. “I believe every teen needs friends and social experiences like prom and graduation.”

The group has brought more than graduations and prom celebrations to homeschoolers in the area. Its regular meet-ups and social events encourage relationships and friendships outside of home while strengthening social and emotional skills. T.H.E. sponsors the Timeless Cullman Teen Scene, as well, giving area homeschooling teens and tweens a space to kick back, share snacks and ideas and hang out with other similarly aged students.

Said Garcia, “Sometimes we do special events like a murder mystery party or a campfire and cookout. Later this year, we will be hosting our first Autumn Glow Fall Dance.”

Upcoming events include a Taco-Tastic Teen Night, a Tween Jack-o-Lantern Jubilee Mystery Party and the Autumn Glow Fall Dance. T.H.E. also hosts pop-up and spot events occasionally – these events will be published on T.H.E.’s Facebook page and website.

“Anyone interested can check out our website, www.timelesscullman.org, for more information on upcoming events. If you are interested in general homeschooling, go to www.cullmanhomeschool.com,” shared Garcia.
