Obituary: Teresa Maner Murray

Born on March 08, 1964 to Coy Maner and Regina Lee Maner. Teresa passed away at her residence Friday, August 23rd as a result of a fall. She was married to Gregory Murray and they lived in Crane Hill, Alabama. Teresa had one daughter, Courtney Hutson; son-in-law, Marcus Hutson; 1 grandson, Grant Hutson; 1 granddaughter, Ava Hutson. 

Teresa loved her friends and family. Teresa was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for anyone that she knew. She also had a green thumb and could make anything flourish. Teresa spent a lot of time spoiling her cocker spaniels, which she treated like people. 

Teresa’s mother passed away suddenly when she was 9 years old. She continued to live with her dad and two brothers, Van and Dudley. She had several family members that helped her dad raise her, which she cherished the time with all of them, especially going to the beach for the summer. Her dad passed away when Teresa was 17. She married Sherrill Hudson and they were married for 11 years. Courtney Hudson Hutson was born to them in 1983. 

Later in Teresa’s life, she married Gregory Murray. They enjoyed their life together. Teresa spent several years caring for Gregory. Nobody could do anything right when it came to caring for him, except her. 

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Coy Maner and Regina Lee Maner; brothers, Van Maner and Dudley Maner. 

Survivors include her husband, Gregory Murray; daughter; Courtney (Marcus) Hutson; grandson, Grant Hutson; granddaughter, Ava Hutson; sisters -in-law, Belinda (Bill) Bagwell; Shelia (Jesse) James; Janet (Ed) Sharp; Joanna Murray; Patsy Maner; a host of family and friends.

Officiating: Pastor Paul Cleghorn 

Visitation-Tuesday August 27, 2024 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. 

Funeral-Wednesday August 28, 2024 1 p.m. 

Burial Service at Jones Chapel Cemetery following funeral service.
