Lori Ann Malone, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on Sunday evening, August 18, 2024, at the age of 60. Mrs. Malone was born in Colbert County on December 23, 1963, to the late Curtis Hatton and Jewel Fuller Hatton.
At an early age, Lori was introduced to the water by her father when he took her to the river. Lori instantly fell in love with the water, and she spent the remainder of her life on or near the water as much as possible. Lori enjoyed kayaking and spent as much time as she could by the pool or at the beach. She enjoyed working in her little back porch garden and was proud of what she was able to grow there. Lori loved animals, and her dogs were very important to her. As much as Lori cherished all these things, nothing compared to the love she had for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and her family brought her great joy. Lori was a very special person, and she leaves behind a host of family and friends who loved her and will miss her greatly.
Mrs. Malone is preceded in death by her father, Curtis Hatton, and several siblings.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Tony Malone; mother, Jewel Hatton; sons, Braxton Greenhill (Deanna), Jay Malone (Cheyanne Martin); grandchildren, Braelynn Greenhill, Haevynn Greenhill, Cayden Greenhill, Savannah Greenhill, Parker Rose Malone; brother, Josh Hatton; and numerous cherished friends.
The family will accept guests on Wednesday evening, August 21st, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service for Mrs. Malone will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 22nd, at the funeral home, with Bro. Layne Howard officiating. Lori will be laid to rest following services in Duck River Cemetery.
