CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Republican Women will host a planning meeting at the VFW in Cullman on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m.

President Cathi Bradford said the group is planning its strategy to see former President Trump re-elected in November and all things that come with that.

“On Tuesday, Aug. 6, during open house we had volunteers at the county high schools registering voters,” Bradford said. “At our meeting we will be looking for volunteers to sign up to work the fair booth (Oct. 3-12) to register voters and make sure voters are aware of this very important Nov. 5 election. We will also have a speaker share with our group about TrumpForce47 to ‘get out the vote’ in battleground states.”

Bradford said the group is planning to serve coffee and donuts at the annual Cullman County Veterans Day Celebration at the airport this fall, where volunteers will dress as “Donut Dollies” and serve the veterans.

“We are always looking for new members,” Bradford said. “We also have lots to do. As we roll out of the election season, we roll right into the legislative session. The Alabama Federation of Republican Women, our parent organization, also has focus legislation for the session. We’ll need volunteers to help be watchdogs on our legislators, tracking legislation and legislator voting records. We want to make sure our elected leaders continue to represent the people of Cullman County well, and that our conservative values are reflected in every vote they make.”

At planning meetings, Bradford said, the group typically has a guest speaker every month, but this month’s meeting on Aug.13 is going to be a little different.

“The ladies of the club are meeting to get to know one another better and plan a cohesive strategy going forward,” Bradford said. “Like so many have already said, this is more than a political battle. We’re in a spiritual battle. Thankfully, Cullman County is a very special place and the Cullman County Republican Women plan to be at the forefront in keeping it just that. Whether you’re a member or not, ladies, you are welcome. We want your input and ideas. Join us next Tuesday, Aug. 13. Doors open at 5:30. Meeting begins at 6.”
