Barbara Jo Headrick Bolin, who graced this world with her presence on March 30, 1948, gently passed into eternal life on August 9, 2024, at the age of 76, after a brave battle with cancer.

Barbara filled the roles of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister with immense love and grace. She leaves behind her beloved husband Richard Bolin, her son Mark Bolin and his wife Leah, her daughter Rebekah Vinson, her siblings Carol Cobb, Sandra Tucker, and Mark Headrick along with his wife Ruth, seven cherished grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Mirtice Headrick, and her nephew Clatis Joe Headrick.

A faithful servant of God, Barbara played piano for many congregations, enriching worship services and touching lives through her musical gift. Known for her dedicated prayer life, she was a warrior of faith, often spending hours interceding for her loved ones. Barbara’s mornings were devoted to studying and reflecting on scripture, drawing strength and wisdom from God’s word.

Throughout her journey with cancer, Barbara saw her trials as a way to draw closer to her Lord and Savior, striving to honor and glorify Him in all things. Her courage, grace, and unwavering faith were evident to all who knew her, embodying the scripture she held dear, Second Timothy 4:7-8. The lyrics of a beloved chorus encapsulate how Barbara approached life and how she will be remembered:

Jesus draw me ever nearer as I labor through this storm,

You have called me to this passage,

And I’ll follow, though I’m worn.

May this journey be a blessing,

May I rise on wings of faith,

And at the end of my heart’s testing,

With your likeness let me wake.

Barbara’s warmth, laughter, and deep friendship left indelible marks on the hearts of those she encountered. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us until we meet again.

The Bolin family extends heartfelt gratitude to the medical team, caregivers, and especially the hospice staff who provided such compassionate care in her final days. A private memorial service will be held by her family to commemorate Barbara’s extraordinary life.
