CULLMAN, Ala. – Recently, the Chick-fil-a in Cullman went through a complete overhaul, leaving some consumers without their favorite chicken meals.

At the most recent meeting of the City of Cullman Planning Commission meeting, documents were presented, but there was nothing to indicate a sale or purchase of land for a second location in the city.

City Engineer Erica York on Thursday said, “The submission from Monday was just a short form subdivision, not a site plan submittal, so all that I have is the survey for that.”

After speaking with York, The Tribune reached out to the Chick-fil-A corporate office to confirm whether or not a second location had been chosen.

According to corporate officials there is no official second location at this time.

A spokesman for the company stated, “We are always evaluating potential new locations in the hopes of serving existing and new customers great food with remarkable service. We would very much like to have more restaurants in the Cullman area, but we have no new locations to confirm at this time.”

The Tribune reached out to Cullman First Church of the Nazarene for confirmation regarding the potential sale of its property along Alabama Highway 157 to Chick-fil-a and whether the church will still have access to the parking lot on Sundays.

At the time of publication, the church has not responded to the inquiry.

There will be more on this story as it develops.
