Betty Fay (Wilson) Collier, 89, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Aug. 5, 2024. She was the widow of Nathan Devoid Collier.
Betty was born on Mother’s Day, May 12, 1935, in Cullman to the late Luther Guy Wilson and Desmer Beatrice (Brown) Wilson.
Family was the most important thing in Betty’s life. She is survived by her beloved children: son Eric Collier and daughters Linda Collier, Janice Collier-Arsenault, Jennifer Cacciatore and Megan Crider. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Anthony Collier, Ashley Collier-Medley, Janece Arsenault, Forest Arsenault, Jonathan Arsenault, Tara Cage and Malia Cacciatore and brother W. D. Wilson. In addition, she has seven great-granddaughters, three great-grandsons, and another great-grandchild on the way.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter Tammy Jo Collier Medley, a sister Virginia Moore and brother Luther Donald Wilson, and a great-great grandchild.
Betty was a proud member of The Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama. She was also an animal lover and is survived by Rennie, her African grey parrot.
Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman is in charge of the arrangements. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in Betty’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
