Vinemont Council holds special-called meeting to discuss pending litigation

VINEMONT, Ala. – The Vinemont Town Council held a special-called meeting on Tuesday, July 16, at which the council went into executive session to discuss pending litigation involving the municipality. No details were disclosed.

Mayor Radginal Dodson, along with all council members, Town Clerk Kayecea Sasser, Assistant Clerk Madison Stewart and Premier Bank of the South Vice President Gary Nunn were included in the session. 

At 6:02 p.m. the council moved into executive session and remained in discussions until 6:29, when Dodson noted that no action was taken.

Once the meeting was moved back to the public view, the council moved into discussions on Resolutions 2024-07-01 and 2024-07-02, allowing the Town to open new checking and savings accounts. Both resolutions passed.

The next Vinemont Town Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13. The work session will begin at 5 p.m. with the meeting following at 6.
