Lloyd “Sarge ” Erskin Goodwin, age 93, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife Betty Freeman Goodwin, parents Byrl Goodwin and Dovie Hicks Goodwin, two sisters, and seven brothers.
Lloyd leaves behind his daughter Donna Goodwin (Lee) Brummett, sons Terry (Hilda) Goodwin, Barry (Shelia) Goodwin, and Mark (Laura) Goodwin, twelve grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren.
Justin Brummett, Madison Goodwin, Matthew Goodwin, Brian Goodwin, Jerrid Hyche, Timothy Goodwin, Nathan Sandlin, and Nelson Martin will serve as pallbearers.
Lloyd was a devoted patriot whose unwavering love for his country was matched only by his deep affection for his cherished family.
A visitation for Lloyd will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Avenue, N.W., Cullman, Alabama 35055. A graveside service will occur Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Johnson Grove Cemetery, 275 Co Rd 151, Bremen, AL 35033.
