BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – SouthPoint Bank on Monday, June 17, announced that David Moss, Jr. has joined its board of directors. Moss is the regional vice president of sales of the Southern Region for Oriental Weavers.
Moss, a native of Cullman, has served on the Cullman City Council since 2019. He was previously with Shaw Industries as a sales manager for 20 years before joining Oriental Weavers, where he has been the past 15 years.
“We are honored David Moss has joined our Board of Directors,” said Steve Smith, president and CEO of SouthPoint Bank. “David is well connected in our north Alabama market and has been a shareholder of Merchants Bank, a division of SouthPoint Bank, for almost 20 years. We are confident David will be a huge asset to our Board and the Bank as a whole.”
Moss earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Auburn University. He is married to Mary Leah (Ballew) Moss of Cullman and has three children and one grandchild. His father, David Moss, Sr., served on the former Merchants Bank of Alabama Board of Directors for over 25 years.
