Funeral service for Barry Lynn Jacobs, age 64, of Cullman, is Friday, May 31, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Tim Barbee officiating. He will lie in state from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., prior to the service. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home as well.

Barry was born September 8, 1959, to Edgar Earl Jacobs and Doris Faye McGriff Jacobs. He passed from this life on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Reba Jacobs; mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Lila Hansen; sister, Jellethia Carden; son-in-law, Brandon Brooks; niece, Stacy Hansen; beloved brother-in-law, Gerald Harper; nephew, Willy Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Hansen Jacobs; son, Bradley Jacobs (Misty); daughter, Jessica Jacobs; brother, Stanley Jacobs (Betty); special brothers, Paul Hansen and Joe Harper; step-brothers, Eddie Sandlin, Gordon Sandlin; ; sister, Tammy Jenkins (David); special sister, Lisa Sloan (David); grandchildren, Lexi Jacobs (Michael Rickard), Christopher Smith (Mary Andrews), Andrew Jacobs, Brittany Jacobs, Brantley Mitchell; future great-grandchild, Jake Rickard; a host of nieces and nephews and family and friends.
Barry served his country bravely in the Army for fifteen years. He loved his family and his dog, Max, very much. He really enjoyed watching NASCAR and Gunsmoke. He will be very missed by all who knew and loved him.
